General Rules and Conditions

Keep it clean - please, we have younger users and none of us really want to read that sort of stuff, yeah? Okay. And it's canon, so I'm not sure that stuff would've really happened anyway. (PG- 13)
User names - Name space surname, example: Vine Lestrange. Ice Rookwood.
Canon - which funnily enough, does mean canon. Nothing crazy. Don't advantage yourself over others. We're role playing in Harry's First Year - thus find things that occurred in that time. Not too hard.
Effort - In terms of posts, can you not write a one liner like 'Walks into hall, hi...' or even a one worder, 'no.' Please put some effort in, be creative. We're not asking you to write pages of stuff, just... yeah. Also, speech should be in speech marks (these guys: ""), and you should write actions in their person. Please avoid using these: - - or * *, for actions. Pay attention to sentence structures, use period to end sentences, use capital letter when starting the sentences, comma to indicate a pause and semicolon to list similar items or to break down long sentences. Be creative, write your thoughts, scenery, etc. (Vine. Stop saying things.)
Have Fun - Not having fun is not allowed here.
No Godmodding - Pretty self explanatory really. If you're godmodding, someone should call you out and you should STOP GODMODDING IMMEDIATELY. Your character can't read other character's thoughts.
Don't Chatspeak - You are not some illiterate half ape-human from god knows where. No. I presume most of you have an education and that you have learnt English at some point - thus speak like an educated person.
In terms of Out of Character - You may insert little Out of character (ooc) sentences at the end of your roleplay posts if you think there is an issue or have something to discuss about their particular roleplay itself. Otherwise, take all out of character posts to the Out of Character section.
Gossip Witch - Gossip Witch is a fun way to create Gossip about characters, not just your own - but characters like Harry and Draco and so on. This can add to roleplays that you might do. The account pass will be given to you when you register.

Role Playing format:

1. PLACE: Each place is carefully categorized, first choose the place where your role play will take place, if it is not anywhere, open a topic anyway. For example, if you are doing role play near the kitchens, (there is no topic for it), go to the main basement and open a topic named, bla bla kitchens.

2. Each scenario will have its own topic. For example, I am not going to open a main great hall topic in Great Hall for everyone and begin "walks in", I go to the great hall forum, open a new topic and name my story : "Vine's dilemma" and in that topic, I walk in the hall, sit down with slytherin etc, describe my mood, my thoughts, surroundings. If someone wants to rp with my character, she/he will respond to that post, if someone wants to create their own moment, event, they will open a new topic, like "Violet's first day with Thestrals.."

Please, tell me if you don't understand this.
