The Feast and Lockhart

I walk through the entrance to the hall and smile. I was one of the first as usual I grin up at the Teachers and spotting Vector I slide over to the woman. "How lovely it is to see you again Professor and my if I do say how splendid you look my dear" I say in the sweetest voice the grin still on my face. She gives a snort and tuts.
"You know flattery only works on the faintest of minds. My dear" She says chidingly adding the last part with just as much honey as me.
I gasp and place a hand over my heart. "Why Professor, I was merely offering my opinion on such important a mater as ones looks. It seems to be most of the talk with the ladies"
She rolls her eyes and leans in close. "I'll tell you a secret then, my dear. I'm not a Lady" Leaning back again one side of her mouth pulled up in a smile. "Scandalous, I know"

"Truly! What would the people say if the only knew" I smile my eyes running along the faces of the other Professors my eyes stop at an unfamiliar yet very familiar face. "why the hell is Gilderoy Lockhart here?" answering my own question I say. "Why the bloody hell would Dumbledore make him the DADA Professor? I've met him at a signing once the utter fool. He's so full of himself" I sneer. She follows my gaze and shakes her head.
"I don't like it anymore than you, but it has been done. There is nothing we can do about it. And with the situation how can you blame him for taking any offer of teaching DADA he can get, what with all the.. " she clears her throat uncomfortable. "incidences"

I hum to myself silently and my eyes snapping back to her. "Well I'd better get to my seat before I have to sit with the first years" I tap my head and walk back towards the Slytherin table. Sliding in I overhear some chatter about Potter and the Weasel missing. I roll my eyes and settle down for the Feast.

Lily walked in to the Great Hall, head held high and a beaming smile. She looked around at all of the faces. Final year, best not muck it up. She took a seat at the end of the table near to the professors so that she could meet the first years as they were sorted. She always loved seeing the ceremony, there was never an unpleasant moment, plus the feast afterwards was the best!

I watch the people entering the hall and snort lightly as I see Lily beaming like a fool and sitting down close to the Teachers. "What a nob" I mutter to myself. You don't need to be happy all the fucking time. And they say Slytherins were deceitful.

She jumped out of the carriage, dragging her trunk behind her. Her purse was around her shoulder and in her hand was the cage of Normal. She was holding her broom under her arm. She walked to the castle and dropped her stuff with on the place where the house elfs would take them to their rooms. She stretched and did her hair in a ponytail. She walked to the Great Hall and walked in, a warm feeling of happiness spread in her cheat.

I wink at Val as she enters. "Prince! What took you so long? Something tire you out? You're clothes are so crumpled.. what where you doing?" I call out over the hall a bunch of kids snigger and I grin from ear to ear.

She grinned wide when Blood called her name. She walked over and sat down next to her. "You don't want to know what I was doing, Bloody." She chuckled and she looked around in the Great Hall. "Is the Sorting Ceremony already done ?"

"Um.. no. Then I'd expect you to be showing in a couple" I eye her up and down. "and I seriously hope that doesn't happen" I lean on her tired. "why don't these darn benches have backs? I'm telling you one day I'm just going to sit on the floor instead"

She laughed softly and pat Blood her head. "The floor does look very comfertable. More then these benches" She yawned and rubbes her eyes. "Train rides make me tired."

"Train rides make me untired. I sleep through most of them so I'm fresh when I get to le destination" I say and look back up at the teachers. "When will the sorting start I'm famished"

"Thats smart. I sleep too, but that make's me just tired." She followed Blood her gaze. "Lockheart ?" She said loud. "The new DADA teacher ?" She bursted out in laughter, till the tears ran down her face.

"What not smitten by the illustrious figure of admiration and crushes?" I ask dryly looking up at the beaming man. Ugh! How I hated people like him my eyes flit back to Lily and away again.

"Look at him !" Her laugh made place for a giggle. "Like, he could defeat a vampire ! If his hear messes up, I think he'll run away for a mirror." She wiped away te tears and took a deep breath.

Lily sat looking bored, her grin had disappeared and she looked down the table for any familiar face. What's taking so long?! she frowned.

"You know his books do make sense every thing in them sounds logical and sound. Why do you think it's not true?" I ask her raising an eyebrow.

"Maybe someone haa done it, but it can't be him. It just can't. What, do you believe hin then ?" She shook her head. "I know people like him. A lilttle bit mud on their robes and they're going mad."

I laugh and turn back to her. "I bet you do, don't you" My eyes twinkle. "Nah, no idea you can't know what people are really like. You can't know if he did them or not. And anyways what? You think people wouldn't have sued him by now?"

"Yeah, you're right. I can't know. But... I don't know. This makes me think." she drummes her fingers on the table. "We'll see, in his class. Now i'm hungry. Where are the firsties ?"

"No idea they should-" And right then the front doors open and Professor McGonagall walks in with a tail of little kids. "be here now.. " I finish lamely.

Lily turned at the sound of te doors opening. She grinned watching the first years as they nervously walked up to the front.

She snorted from the Gryffindor table, watching the kids walk past. Midgets. Tiny little ... troublemakers. She scowled at her empty plate, wondering where everyone else was.

(LEO! You haven't rped in ages -creys- sah happy.. but sad because you're all the way on the Gryff table)

She spotted Blood at the Slytherin table and gave a cheery wave.

"Ah, firsties." She looked at the little kids, full of exitement and a bit fear. She snort. Of course she remembered her sorting. Most of all, she was happy to be in Slytherin so her GP would be proud. Her first year ... It was a nice year, but she was very shy. Actually, she came out of her shell last year. a smile spread on her face.
