Reflections [open]

Lily checked the door of the trophy room, it was unlocked. With a smile she walked in to the room, closing the door behind her. She glanced around the room at the cabinets, walking over to each of them to amuse herself, reading the names. After a few minutes she headed to the cabinet at the back, the one with the photo. She rested her hand on the glass door of the cabinet and smiled looking at the photo at the back of the case, the familiar features of the couple made her feel like she was looking in a mirror. She smiled and traced a finger over her mother's smile, wishing she had witnessed her parents when they had been this way. When they had been happy.

Val sneaked into the Trophy Room. Her plan to cheer up the mood in the school wasn't really working. She made a face. Why were the people so... Sad, angry, scared. She slid over to an empty wall and sat down, her head between her knees. Maybe she wasn't funny. Maybe people didn't want to be cheered up.

She turned at the sound of the door, and watched from the shadows as Val entered the room. She tilted her head in concern as the girl slumped against a wall and walked over to her quietly. "Val? Are.. you okay?" Smiling warily she sat opposite the girl, hugging her knees to her chest, and blinked as she waited for a response from the girl.

Val looked up when she heared a voice. Her eyes met Lily's and she made herself smile. "Of course. I am amazing, why shouldn't I be ?" Damnit. Why, no matter how badly she tried, she couldn't tell about her feelings.

She raised an eyebrow, "Liar. But hey, you wanna keep things to yourself, fine by me." She shrugged and leaned back on her arms. "What brings you to the Trophy room? If you're fine, surely you wouldn't want to be in such a.. quiet place." Smiling, she looked at the girl.

She pushed her lips together. "I needed a bit of silence." she said shortly, looking at her nails. You can't even talk to Lily, idiot.

"Silence huh?" She looked away dejectedly, "Guess I'll just.. shut up then." She stood up and walked back to the cabinet at the back, hurt by the girl's lack of words.

Val pushed her nails in her cheek. With sad eyes, she looked at Lily. What did she do ? She was suppose to be happy, sunny and fun. Tears came up in her eyes again and she burried her face between her knees. She couldn't handle it anymore.

Lily watched Val's reflection in the glass of the cabinet. She frowned slightly as she saw the girl hide her face. "Okay. What on earth has gotten in to you?" Turning to face her once more, "You say you're fine yet here you are weeping like a baby." She stormed back over to her, and glared, "Spill it."

Val grinched her teeth. "I am not weeping. My eyes hurt." She turned her face. Such a stupid lie. Such a stupid her. "I don't know." She brought out.

She rolled her eyes, "Look, I don't want to slap you, but I will if it'll pull you together." She caught the girl's chin in her hand to turn her face towards her, "Tell me what's wrong."

"I will bite if you slap me." She showed her teeth to the girl and looked her in the eyes. "It is just too much. For me."

Lily laughed lightly, "You sound like a vampire." She smiled and hugged her, "If it's too much for you, that's a pretty good reason to share it."

She smiled and hugged her friend bck. "Maybe I am a vampire." she said spookily. "I don't know. It feels like I have so many different feelings I am gonna explode."

She laughed again, "As long as you don't kill me, you can be what you like Princess." She thought a moment, "Have you tried.. writing everything down? It can help. I write everything in a notebook when I have days where I'm so full of feelings all I want to do is scream.."
