Ruby had finished her walk around the lake. Alone. As usual. Her footsteps made muffled thuds as she starts to cross the Entrance Hall, heading towards the Great Hall. The sound of voices drift towards her. Everything seemed quieter than usual... especially after the Creevey kid. She snorts, tossing her hair and coming to a stand still beside the doorway. If they couldn't take the heat - they should have left.
Instead of going inside the Hall and forcing herself to socialise with the snakes, she turns on her heel and sits down on the staircase. Ruby begins to stare out of the double doors, watching a few students cross the green and make towards the greenhouses. Her mind starts to wander as the raindrops begin to fall, causing an earthy smell to settle. Most of her thinking had been focused on The Chamber of Secrets and the equally as secret 'Heir' of Slytherin. With a little time for her NEWTS. But now she was remembering this 'Dark Arts' club which Vine and her had set up. She couldn't help but feel apprehensive.
Was she weak? She'd never performed any particularly dark spells. Plenty of duels though. Some wins... some losses. And one thing she knew was that you had to mean it. Could she mean it? Mean to hurt someone beyond repair, even if they had done nothing to her? What was worrying her most was that she might embarrass herself in front of the group. Maybe she couldn't do it...
As she thought about this, she paled a little, watching the rain plummet to the ground and fill her ears with splashes.
