Company of owls. [open]

Valery Prince sat against a wall in the Owlery. The owls were fluttering around her, begging for cookies or meat.
"Hush." She waved her hands at them, making them screech and fly up. She sighed, letting her head fall on her shoulder. It had been a few difficult weeks for her. She missed her friends.
Her hair fell for her eyes and she stroked it away. She felt alone, lonely.
