The Glow of the Fire

The trophy room was empty except for a flickering fire.Cypress slipped into the door,closing it lightly. The gold and silver trophies and medals surrounded her,meeting her at every glance.She walked in,her boots clicking.She looked around at the large and small prizes, the glow of the fire flickering off them.She turned back to the dimishing fire,the red flames bright in her silver eyes.Embers flied off, almost touching her shoes.She pointed her wand at them,murmuring,"Augimenti."The flames went out.

Raven' s heels clicked along as she walked steadily down the corridor. She had nowhere to be going, but had decided to explore the castle again. She had eventually turned up in the general area of the trophy room. As she walked by, she heard a whispered spell from through a doorway. Pausing, her curiosity got the better of her and she backtracked, peering through the archway into the dark room.

Ooc you might not want to have your ch hate mine immediately because not a ton of people role play anymore and it would be strange to always role play with characters who hates each other :P plus you already do that with James.

It's that time of the week again, Vic smiled to herself as she dressed for her weekly visit to the trophy room. Visiting the old trophies and awards of the thousands of students before her had become a habit bordering on an obsession. One day she would be one of those lucky and talented enough to have her own trophy placed in this room. She would be known forever, and people after would gaze at her trophy with as much longing as she did with those already there. And father and mummy would be so excited and proud of me! She smiled brilliantly earning an admiring look from one of her fellow fourth years. Boys had never been a problem for her either. Her heeled boots clicked on the floor as she made her way up to the trophy room.
But the back of a young Gryffindor stopped her in her tracks. What is she doing here? Not even going all the way in.... Vic narrowed her eyes, walked up to the Gryffindor, and tapped her on the shoulder.
"If you are going in, please do," she said a tad bit sarcastically but not enough to be rude. After all, her parents had taught her to be decently pleasant. "If not, then please get move so that I can get in." She waited expectantly for her reply.

She turned, startled to see a Slytherin girl standing behind her. She examined her then looked back into the room.
"There's someone in there..." She said quietly.
"I didn't want to just barge in on them."

"Somebody in there...?" Vic frowned and peeked into the room. Sure enough, she saw Cypress doing... something. She shrugged then turned back to the Gryffindor. "Well, I guess it's better not to interrupt somebody in their work. My plan for the evening has been spoiled," she sighed dramatically. "Who are you anyway?"

She turned away from the door and looked at the Slytherin girl.
"Raven. Raven Dragomir. Who are you?"
She frowned slightly, trying to think if she had seen this girl around the castle.

"How do you not know who I am?" she asked imperiously. Inside she was railing against the small Gryffindor. How could anybody not know who I am? She stared haughtily at the girl then replied, "I am Victoria Rosier. Truly you have heard of me at one point?"

She smirked. So far all the people, aside from Leah, acted above her. Her green eyes twinkled in amusement and she replied.
"No never heard of a Victoria Rosier before now. Sorry."
She tried to make it believable. It was true that she had never heard of such a girl, but being sorry? White lie. She didn't have to be sorry the girl was stuck up enough to believe everyone knew her. That was one thing that she knew wasn't her fault.

She narrowed her eyes at Raven (what an odd name) but decided not to press the issue. "Well, I guess not everybody is as knowledgeable as others." She raised an eyebrow haughtily at the Gryffindor then walked off. Her little habit would have to wait until later that day or a different day.

She smirked.
"Maybe so.."
Laughing quietly to herself, she walked off down the hallway, her boots clicking.

Cypress heard commotion outside and raised her eyebrows.Her silver eyes glanced towards the door suspiciously.She hurriedly walked towards the back of the room,looking for what she had come.It was behind the glass,small;a medal with her father's name,Marcus Black.She tapped the glass with her wand,nonverbally casting spells.It took a few attempts,but it opened and she confiscated the medal.Closing the glass quietly,her long leather heeled boots clicked as she returned to the empty fireplace,restoring the fire and light of the room. O o ch You guys all have boots :PP

Vic had only walked a little way off after speaking to Raven. Turning back around and peeking around the corner into the corridor, she saw the girl had left. Good, now I can do what I wanted. She walked back to the trophy room, the noise from her boots preceding her. She knew Cypress probably wouldn't mind the intrusion.

Oo ch I've always worn boots. My ch on PM has worn boots since I joined almost a year ago, so I'm not one of those people who just goes with the style...boots are my thing :PP in real life too. They give good traction if you get the right ones, and you can also run in them.

I ch she stopped a bit down the hallway, something shiny catching her eye. She bent down to see a locket laying on the floor. Carefully she picked it up, running her fingers over the diamonds encasing it. She turned it over, the metal cool in her Palm, Palm and ran slender fingers over the front. Her finger tips lingered on the clasp, as she stares entranced at the necklace.

ooch: I was thinking that. We are kinda cousins XD And I just can't see Vic wearing anything other than high heeled boots in the winter. She's just that type

Oo ch you need a nickname Cypress. Cypress is to formal for everyday use. Hmmm....cype? Uh.....cess?

Oo ch my character wears very little makeup, only does she wear a lot on special occasions. Usually wears boots, dark skinny jeans, and different assortment of shirts with scarfs, necklaces, etc. But she looks awful in yellow orange or red :PP
