Another quiet Morning? [open]

Nessa scampered in, a slight bounce in her movement, eyes peering around and taking in the lack of people in the hall. Where was everyone? The girl sighed and found a spot at the Hufflepuff table, tapping her fingers impatiently on the table.

She hated being bored.

He strode into the Hall, his face devoid of any emotion as he walked along the way to his respective table. He peered across the Hall, his eyes betraying no hint of what he might be thinking. He solemnly walked down the side of the table, there were many empty seats though he preferred the one he usually sat in. He uttered a low greeting to his fellow mates, he was not usually like this. He was a wild and free person, but the responsibility of being Head Boy had changed him. Not that much, but yes, it had changed him. He placed a hand over his gleaming, crimson badge as he slumped down in his normal position, gazing everywhere.

He entered the hall quietly loosening his tie and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. Walking languidly over to the Hufflepuff table he sat down and summoned a cup of coffee and a piece of toast. Noticing another Hufflepuff girl he smiled and nodded politely towards her.

She nodded back curtly, tilting her head slightly to the side, wisps of her light brown hair falling out of her loose ponytail. Her gaze was intense yet curious, smiling slightly before she peered over at the Gryffindor boy.

He looks....indifferent. Nessa's eyes lingered for a moment, figuring.

He noticed her studying him for a moment before her attention turned towards a Gryffindor boy. Recognizing the head boy from the time Lily collapsed he called out to him. "Hex!" He lifted a hand in greeting.

He felt eyes upon him, he always felt them. He did not know how, but whenever someone stared or looked at him, he knew. He always knew, he sat there idly for a moment remembering when he had first seen Lemon. He sighed and shook his head, a bright smile playing on his lips. He had been receiving stares ever since he had become Head Boy but he learned to ignore them, he smirked slightly. He glanced around the Hall again, his grey eyes darting from there to there. He noticed Tor once his gaze fell upon the Hufflepuff table and he waved to him, before pulling his hand back down. "Wotcher Tor!" He raised his voice to be heard.

Nessa clasped her hands together, wanting to speak during this exchange but having no idea what to say. All she'd ever done before is watch people, she hardly spoke to them. Her face scrunched up slightly, conflicted.

"Would you like to join us friend?" He called out to Hex from across the hall. Turning to the other Hufflepuff girl he smiled politely. "Where are my manners? I'm called Tor Lothario Odinson." He extended his hand towards the girl.

Her grey eyes seemed to brighten as she shook his hand firmly, a cheerful smile forming on her young face. 'I-I'm Nessa! Nessa Helstrom.' The girl looked over at Hex, still figuring in her mind.

He frowned, deep in thought for a moment or two. "Are you sure that a person of another house is supposed to sit there?" He gestured towards the Hufflepuff table, it seemed remote as did all the tables. When he glanced through a wide glass window, he saw that the majority of the pupils of Hogwarts were outside, sitting near the lake or just relaxing. He even saw a few fools swimming in the freezing water of the lake. He turned his attention back to the Hufflepuff table, grinning and awaiting an answer. He noticed the other girl that Tor was talking to, and he politely nodded towards her.

ooc I'm sorry guys but I'm being forced to do chores. -sigh- I'll be back later.

He shrugged at Hex's question. "What does it matter what house you are from? We are all students of Hogwarts are we not?" He sipped at his coffee and smiled at Nessa. "Pleasure to meet you Nessa."

"Well..." He trailed off, standing curtly and started walking towards the Hufflepuff table. If the staff had been here, they would have not allowed this. He grinned again, they were all of on their classes. He had a hour left before Potions. He took a seat beside Tor, a bit uncomfortable but after a while, he got used to it. Some Puffs kept glaring at him, but he just smiled playfully.

He grinned when Hex joined them. "Good to see you. How's Lily? I have yet to see her after the incident. Coffee?" He gestured to the pot on the table.

He nodded at him merrily. "Good to see you too, and Lily..." He trailed off, frowning. "Well, last I saw her. She was in the Owlery." He said simply, not wanting to reveal the incident in the forest. When he had used his wand against Basil. It was still a secret, if it had been revealed, it would be the latest gossip of Hogwarts. "Yup, she's fine but she's lost that owl of hers." He resumed, nodding at him for the offer of coffee. "Yes, please."

He nodded whilst pouring Hex a cup of joe. "She lost her owl? Poor girl." He rolled up the sleeves of his shirt and took another sip of his coffee. "How have you been Hex? Being head boy taxing?" His eyes twinkling with a secret.

He sit there idly for a minute, wondering, pondering. "Yeah, she did. Seemed pretty distressed." He murmured. He was wondering about Lily, that day he had visited the hospital wing, he had not seen Lily. He frowned but eventually snapped out of his thoughts. "Head boy taxing?" He chuckled. "Not that I'm aware of."

He nodded and smiled continueing to drink his coffee. "I hope to see her to give her my condolences." He munched merrily on his toast.

He nodded at Tor without another word, whilst sipping deeply in the goblet still thinking. He tipped the goblet up and upended all the contents of it into his mouth, gulping it down while glancing around the Hall. He noticed that the stares were gradually decreasing, he didn't know what to say so he remained silent placing the goblet onto the table.

As Cecilia stared at the Ravenclaw crest with bleary eyes, the first thing that popped into her head was not 'Eagles', it was 'Flamingoes'. She then proceeded to wonder where that thought had come from, but attributed it to tiredness. Thirdly, she looked around the hall that she had just stepped into, and picked out the blue clad students, and imagined they had flamingo heads. It was, all in all, quite amusing.
She chewed the piece of drooble's best blowing gum thoughtfully.
Cel walked down the aisle between the two middle tables and tapped the head of every third person. She overheard two students talking about Mrs. Norris being petrified and the blood on the wall, and Cel noted that she almost missed that cat. It had been fun to torment. She'd just have to find a new victim.
The scent of coffee caught her nose and she looked over in the direction of what seemed to be the Head Boy and a Hufflepuff. She could track the scent of coffee like a hunting dog can scent out a fox.

After finishing his cup he poured himself another one. "More coffee there Hex?" He glanced at a Gryffindor girl who was looking in their direction and smiled politely whilst nodding a greeting.

"Yes." He said simply, nodding at Tor, smiling. He raised his eyes at the Cecilia, he could always sense when someone was watching him. He waved to her, smiling. "Hello there." He said, his voice cheerful.

He poured Hex another cup.

Cel narrowed her eyes at the politeness in the smile. Everyone was so polite these days it was like they'd forgotten that they were all students at a school that they had been at for some time now. All they have to have was top hats and bow ties and they'd complete the image.
She could paint it, sell it for millions and live the rest of her life traveling the world.
She reluctantly dragged herself out of dream land and stalked over to the pair. "Discussing the meaning of life over coffee and..." She looked around for any sign of cake. There was none. "...More coffee, are you?" She gave Hex a startled look. He was clearly too cheerful for someone who had the responsibility as head boy.

He drank from the cup deeply muttering a thanks, wandering in his thoughts, he raised his eyebrows at Cecilia.
