“Stir my drink” Ruby demanded calmly, still terribly amused with her little game. And it’d only cost her a couple of galleons. The Hufflepuff she’d ‘hired’ obeyed. She picked up the little silver spoon and began to stir the dark tea as quietly as she could. Ruby had made the girl wash her hands three times to avoid contamination, naturally. She smiled. Really, she was doing this girl a favour, or so she thought. The Puff needed some extra money, and Ruby didn’t enjoy carrying her bag, opening doors or stirring her tea. It was a win-win situation, and she got the chance to question the little halfblood into awkwardness from time to time. She noticed the girl was uncomfortable talking about boys, so made an effort to mention kissing at any given moment to watch her squirm.
“Guys don’t like it when you stir their tea anti-clockwise” Ruby told the left-handed Hufflepuff. The girl’s bottom lip trembled and she gulped before starting to stir in the other direction. It was funny. So funny it made her laugh aloud to the shock of the girl. Deciding to behave herself and stop being so decadent, she summoned today's Daily Prophet and read quietly. Occasionally she’d glance over at her little waitress, who was occupying herself by making her fingers dance across the table. Weird.
