Coffee with Cel [open]

Cecilia wandered into the great hall, brushing her wild hair out of her face. She slid into a seat at the Gryffindor table, coffee mug in hand, and sipped the hot, soothing drink. Her eyes fluttered closed in satisfaction. She listened into the chatter of the Great Hall - which was slowly returning to normal. Most people were now under the impression that it was just a bad Halloween joke. Cel was glad that they had gotten their spirit back.

Leo stumbled into the Hall, made her way over to the Gryffindor table with amazing accuracy, considering her eyes were half-closed, then collapsed on the bench next to Cel. 'Food,' she croaked. 'Need ... food ...' Her head thumped on the table and she groaned.

Cel looked at Leo, and then back at her coffee, and then back at Leo. She gathered her coffee closer to her. "Mine." She glanced around the table, trying to find something to suggest. "There's... apples..." She said, doubtfully. "And there's some muffins. Toast? Or... cakes?"

'All of it!' Leo sprung awake and grabbed a bunch of toast, three muffins and five slices of cake. And an apple, but that was an afterthought. She demolished the first few slices of toast, and started to feel a little more normal. 'Mm ... you can keep your coffee, I don't drink it remember?' Leo grinned. 'If you ever see me drinking coffee, you'll have to know something is wrong.'

Ruby returned from her short fly windswept and red-cheeked, she invites herself to sit opposite Cel and Leo then stares at them for a short while before asking "Why don't you drink coffee?" with a confused expression.

Coffee was great. Especially in the morning. She watches the two Gryffindors curiously. They did indeed remind her of little lion cubs.

Leo stared for a moment, glanced over at the Slytherin table, then looked back. Um ... Okay. Shrugging it off, she said, 'I've never needed to. And I don't plan on ever needing to.'

Cel opened her mouth, about to ask the same question, but Rose got to it first. She nodded, "I suppose it's an acquired taste. I've had coffee for years and years." She caught Rose's gaze and titled her head, taking in the sight of her windswept hair. "Where have you been?"

"Lucky you, with all your sleep, ugh." Ruby said and shakes her head at Leo, she was jealous. She helped herself to coffee, since the smell of Cel's had nudged her craving on.

"Went for a fly... Lily, Val and Basil were there. It is Basil, right?" She said absently, not really caring. They didn't mean anything to her. Her spoon started stirring the coffee on it's own. "Still pining over the fact she got caught with Vine on the astronomy tower" Ruby snickered.

'Um, yeah it's Basil.' Leo stared again. 'Wait, who got caught with Vine? Basil? I thought Lily ...' She frowned, confused.

"No Lily got caught with him, Val saw too. It was very funny."

She rolled her eyes. Sneaking off to the Astronomy Tower with him? Not my problem. 'Why was everyone up there to see this in the first place?' She shook her head. 'Haven't they got better things to do ... like sleep?'

Cel made a sound of disgust. "Who cares who it is? Either way, they're foolish." She sipped her coffee again, "And have bad taste. But I suppose it is up to them who they fool around with." She looked at Ruby, "Is the weather nice? I might go for a fly myself. I am only a reserve for the team but..." She shrugged, "Best to get some practice."

Ruby nods in agreement to Cecilia then begins to sip her coffee with a slight frown. "I was looking for spiders to kill, Leo. Awful lot of them around lately. All heading out; windows, cracks. I bet some idiot who's scared of spiders set up a repellent spell." She says in a disapproving tone and a 'tut'.

"A bit windy. Loud, you know. Not too bad." She told Cel.

'Bad taste is right,' Leo muttered, curling up as much as she could while sitting and wishing she had a blanket. She made some sort of groaning noise with her throat. Flying was the last thing in her mind. More like sleep, sleep is good.

'Spiders?' Leo wasn't scared of spiders - actually sometimes she found them fascinating. If they were on their web ... a good distance away. 'They're moving out?' Leo hadn't really bothered to notice the behavioural patterns of the spiders, and she didn't really care either. 'Weird.'

"That idiot will regret it when we get devoured by other insects in our sleep." Cel said. "If I find mosquitoes in my dorm, I will hunt down the person. It was probably that Weasley... Rory or... Ronny or something. You should see his face whenever he sees a spider. It's rather amusing."

"Weird" She echoed Leo and drained the last of her drink. "Ew" Ruby wrinkled her nose, trying not to imagine being eaten alive by insects. Their legs... crawling... little teeth. She shivered and got to her feel, still feeling a bit creeped out.

"I'm going for a nap. Bye Gryffindors"

'Bye Snake,' Leo called back lazily, feeling a lot better now she had food in her. Even that fly didn't seem like such a bad idea anymore. She reached over for a mug of hot chocolate, humming a little.

"Hnn." Cel watched Ruby go and stirred the remainder of her coffee a little. She glanced over at Leo, who seemed to be in a better shape now, "Are you ready for the game on the Weekend?"

'Oh yeah.' She pulled a face. 'Yeah, I guess. I went out flying the other day, to test out my new broom, and that Durmstrang guy was there ... Reet.' Leo rubbed her eyes a bit. 'He wants to get on the team. Apparently, he's the "best Keeper".' Leo scowled. 'I mean, he's not a bad flier, but ... the best?' Leo shook her head.

"Can't imagine Wood would like that news too much," Cel said, laughing, thinking of the boy's reaction if someone told him that someone else was the best keeper. She grinned. "Oh well... I'm sure there'll be a few chances in the next couple of years... if the Reet guy is still around by then."

'That was my first thought.' Leo sniggered. 'You almost make it sound as though you're going to scare him off.'

Cel snorted, "No. There's plenty of other people to do that. I was just thinking... not many of the players are going to graduate anytime soon so..." She shrugged. "Besides, I wouldn't try to scare him away from the position of keeper when it's not even my position."

Leo pouted. 'You're being reasonable and logical.' She waved a hand in front of her own face. 'Against this.' Leo blinked several times and munched on a cake while looking up at the ceiling. 'I wonder where people are,' she thought out loud. 'It's awfully quiet.'
