Swishing [open]

Pumpkin jumped down the last few stairs and straightened up. Grinning she maneuvered herself through the sparse students that where loitering outside the great hall. She grabbed her robes and twirled around and swished them from side to side. "Swishing, swishing. See how my robes swish with me." She sang merrily and continued to twirl around.

Lily's legs were a little shaky as she headed down the stairs towards the great double doors that led to the grounds. Upon reaching the bottom step, something caught her eye. She watched as a girl twirled around and around, a small smile creeping on to her face. She laughed lightly at a few students who had to dodge the girl's movements, and as they scowled at her upon passing her.

Twirling around, Pumpkin stopped when she head someone laugh. Blinking she looked around for the said person and spotted a Gryffindor. Tilting her head she tried to remember who this other girl was, bounding up to the Gryffindor she stopped a respectable distance away and looked at her through narrowed eyes trying to remember who she was. "Ah!" She pointed at the other girl. "Lily!"

"Wynter, how lovely to see you!" she greeted with a smile, masking another round of laughter. She studied the girl curiously, "What has you in such a good mood?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, curiosity getting the better of her, for it was rare to see students in such good moods these days. "Pray, share the high spirits with those in need" she added with a laugh.

She grinned, proud of herself to be able to remember Lily. "Me? No particular reason. I'm just taking happiness." She winked at the girl. "Would you like to taste a slice of my happiness? I have enough to go around." She held a hand out for Lily.

With a yawn, Rory strood into the hall. It wasn't quite the great hall yet, but close. Hands in his jacket, he paused to spot a head of hair similar to his. Detention had been terribly boring and Rory needed something to lift his spirits. "Lily!" He called in greeting to his cousin. "And, umm..." He looked over at the Slytherin, trying to think of name.

She smiled, "Well, you certainly seem high on happiness, it must be something good!" Laughing she took the girls hand, "Why thank you, I could certainly do with some, it's been an eventful week." She looked around at the sound of her name. "Rory!" she called out grinning, an arm waving wildly.

She grinned back at the girl and twirled her before setting her into a dip. Looking up she saw another Gryffindor, though a boy this time. "Gee-whiz, you Gryffs are every." She blinked at the boy.

The Irish boy grinned and moved forward to embrace his cousin as she had did before he had left her yesterday. He turned to face the Slytherin girl, albiet a bit warily. Lily wasn't exactly known for hanging with the most ... kikeable crowd. "'ello." He said in greeting.

Lily laughed once more as the boy hugged her, "Oh Rory, what trouble have you been getting in to. I've seen your name on that detention too much recently." She smiled, motioning to the Slytherin girl, "Rory meet Wynter, Wynter meet Rory." She smiled kindly at the pair, surveying their faces.

Blinking at the boy she could barely make out what he was saying. "An Irish lad eh, with the Irish brogue to match. How... refreshing." She stepped a bit away from him. No need to be all buddy, buddy with everyone she sees. "Rory. Isn't that a girl's name?" She mused quietly to herself.

Rory sighed over dramaticly. "Ye know what t' problem is? There ain't enough people tryin' t' sneak out now t'at there's a monster. Not li'e me and James got anythin' to worry about though, right?" He grinned. "Nice t' meet ye, Wynter. Rory O'Conner." He just barely heard her comment under her breath and sighed. "I's a boy's name to, ye know..."

She blew some hair out of her eyes as she looked at the boy. "I can see that." Losing interest she began to wonder off slightly though not too far. "Monsters this, monster that." She mumbled tiredly and rubbed her eye with the heel of her palm. It seems like it's the only thing everybody is talking about. Where did all the Claws go?

She smiled hearing the boy say so much and not mask his accent as much as he used to, "I guess not, though if I catch you you'll be in the deep end" she winked, "Not that I ever stay out after curfew of course." Bursting in to laughter she looked bemusedly at the Slytherin girl, "It's not surprising there's mention of monsters. It's all everyone's talking about." she said with a shrug.

Rory hel;d back laughter, which was making his cheeks hurt. "Oooh, sure, li'e ye ain't ne'er been out pass t'e curfew." He winked. He watched the Slytherin as she went. "She always li'e t'at? Or id it jus' me?" He said under his breath to his cousin.

she gave her cousin a friendly shove, "I don't know what you mean. I'm the most innocent, well behaved girl you will ever meet." She smiled her most innocent smile, but couldn't contain her laughter. "She's.. a little lively, don't worry about it." She called after the girl, "Where you going Wynter?"

She looked back at the girl and nodded. "Better the monster you know than the monster you don't." Grinning she bounded back to stand beside Lily. "So, why are we all standing out here when we can be in there?" She gestured towards the great hall. "I'm hungry. And I crave fish."

Rory laughed right out loud at Lily's words. He couldn't even catch his breath to make a snide remark to his cousin. He shrugged a bit at the Slytherin's question. "Dunno." He raised a brow. "Fish? Are ye a cat?" Rory made an effort now the try to use British dialect rather than his own natural one. "I crave sugar. Let's go!"

"Right. Food. Let's go." She turned swiftly walking towards the doors of the great hall, a suppressed smile threatening to appear on her face. She glanced at the two people she was with, then let the smile appear.

She scoffed at the boy. "Of course I'm one. Can't you tell?" Twirling she nearly tripped on her robes. "Sugar? Blegh. Nasty stuff that is. And Rory darling. Stop the accent. You sound constipated." She spun around as Lily headed for the hall. "FOOD!!" And raced ahead of the other two.

Rory sighed a bit. "It's not that bad, is it?" He asked, trying to keep up the cumbersome effort of using the dialect of the other students of the school. He put his hands back into his pockets and went after Wynter into the hall.

Lily shook her head, following the pair. "It's only as bad as it is funny Rorypie." she said with a grin.
